ER Podcast 018 – Antoni Maiovvi – February 2017

First ER podcast for 2017, 18th of the series by Antoni Maiovvi. Cofounder of Giallo Disco Records, the artist from Bristol brings a 45 minute set recorded in a recent visit to Bilbao to the Vocoder Club, walking between Italo, Horror Disco, synth music and House shades, serving as a warm up for a next Eclectic Reactions release with a new aka coming this March.

Fourteenth of the Eclectic Reactions releases, coming from the Venezuelan composer settled in Madrid Joaquín Mendoza Sebastián and entitled «…everything about the beating of dead horses».
Limited edition of 70 cassettes with special packaging and a print of pure data code of one of the tracks on vegetal paper, and as extra content the patches for Pure Data and Sonic Pi of two of the tracks.
Four tracks throughout almost half an hour of sonic experimentation, electroacustic and microtonalism, performed with neatness and a lot of soul under the pretil of the computer music.

Sunrea aka Nathan Church, cofounder of Eclectic Reactions and member of WLDV (We Love Dolce Vita) with a long musical background in different music styles and experience as sound technician and engineer started on electronic music back in early 2000s DJing and producing the first tracks.

Radithor is the pseudonym of Yeray Portillo, cofounder of Eclectic Reactions and Distopia Club. He has been playing in a lot of clubs in the north of Spain and Madrid since more than 10 years. His live acts goes from experimental to industrial, passing through IDM, Techno, ambient and drone. Characterized by atmospheres and hypnotic sounds searching for a coherence on the speech taking care of both the music selection and the skill behind the decks. After the presentation of an audiovisual piece on the «3,2,1» international festival his work as producer and artist is oriented to the experimentation with the combination of different tools, where the proccess and result has an important relevance.

After flirting with jazz, noise and improvisation without previous proccess, Nacho Ortega developes his work with nonsense field recordings and conventional instruments with non-real-time compositive tool systems. He worked and colaborated with different spanish artist like VRILnoise, Erissoma and Elias Merino. He opens in 2014 the XXII edition of the SONIKAS festival and he already released his first album on Eclectic Reactions.

ANGLE X was formed in 2013 by Alejandro Moreno and Angelica Martin in Madrid, and now settled in London. Vertex is their first release, an EP with 5 tracks of Electro/IDM with acid hints. Alejandro Moreno works also with the aliases The Roofman and No Human and is part of the projects Adhar, Nuhg, Kid´s Fun Area and Cut Tape.
